Congestion Relief Tea
So our area has been hit hard by the Flu. And I am reminded of how much I enjoy this Congestion Relief Tea I created a few years ago. If you are accustomed to drinking Apple Cider Vinegar, then you won’t shy away from this. If you have never tried ACV or cayenne pepper, I encourage to give it a try. Both ingredients do a great job of relieving congestion naturally. Just add a little extra honey to help it go down the first few times. The cayenne pepper does wonders on your congestion. In addition, the ginger, lemon, cinnamon, and peppermint are packed with many nutrients you need when you are under the weather.
The Power of Raw Honey
Let’s take a minute to talk about Raw, Unfiltered, Local Honey. First, why do you need Raw, Unfiltered, and Local. Well, all of the antibacterial, allergy benefiting parts of the honey are heated out of commercial honey. And if you do have allergies you need honey made by bees that feed on the flowers and plants that grow near you. This is most likely not something you can buy at a store. Now, you will most likely be able to get it at the local farmers market. However, it’s February, and where I live there are not many farmers markets going on right now. So you ask, where else can I look? My suggestion is check your local Facebook groups, Nextdoor, Craigslist, or try the farmers market listing for your area.
I am guessing if you do a little asking around you will find someone who knows a beekeeper near you. One beekeeper near me has a large metal bee on his mailbox. When he has honey for sale he hangs a sign from his bee. For me this is a very important ingredient in the congestion relief tea. I do use it for sweetening, but I really use it for the antibacterial and allergy benefits.
One of my favorite things is an Electric Tea Kettle. I have found that it is something that I use everyday in my kitchen. Of course I use it making Congestion Relief Tea. However, another use I have found for it is making iced tea. It is such a convenient way to get my water hot, fast! My electric tea kettle is made by
I also love my clear glass tea pot with removable insert. This removable insert strains all of the chunks of ginger, cinnamon, and other things out of my tea easily. Mine was a gift, but I found one similar here. Glass tea pot similar to the one featured in the video.
I hope this Congestion Relief Tea brings you some true relief! Feel better soon!
