Fig season is in full swing here in East Tennessee. And I wanted to take a moment to share my amazing Fig and Goat Cheese Tart Recipe with you. I have been on a tart kick here recently, but I just love the ease of assembly. And the beauty of their natural form.

Figs and Lemons ready for my Fig Preserves with Lemon recipe
So fresh and bright!

Last year I shared my favorite Fig Preserves with Lemon recipe with you. If you have access to figs, let me encourage you to try it! You will not be disappointed! That is definitely an aged white cheddar or aged gouda and wine kind of preserves. So delicious!

This year figs are plentiful. So, ask around you might just know someone with a fig tree and not even realize. You might even find them for sale at your local farmers market or online.

Assembling the Fig and Goat Cheese Tart

This tart is not a super sweet dessert. And would pair just as well with coffee as it would with wine. The decision is yours. It reminded me of the most refined cheese Danish I had ever tasted. And the crunch of the crust with the Turbinado Sugar is divine.

Another option is to drizzle the Fig and Goat Cheese Tart with an aged balsamic vinegar. Use a light hand with this. And the aged balsamic would be a great garnish as you serve.
