How Grill Of Victory Came Into My Life

One night in 2019, my youngest son Eli, said “Mom, you should go on one of those shows, I think you would win.” (Iwas watching Guy’s Grocery Games at the time) Within 2 weeks I applied to the casting call for a new show, and was chosen to participate in the pilot episode of Grill of Victory. I will tell you now, this was one of the hardest things I have ever done. (Read, completely green to Television Production) Being called, Grill Of Victory contestant Lara Purcell, is also one of the most rewarding things I have done.

Since Filming Grill Of Victory

This opportunity inspired me to step out of my box, be more active on various social media outlets, and this blog to share my joy of cooking.  I’ve had so much fun as I’ve shared recipes, new dishes, and Facebook live meals with you.  Thursday night, I hope you will share this moment with me. When you can watch me compete on Cooking Channel Thursday, May 19 at 9:00 EST. The debut of this episode will be the biggest night of my professional life to this point, and it is my hope that it opens doors to many new and exciting opportunities.
