The Best Steak Marinade
I recently shared my favorite steak marinade in a Tiktok video. And I dare say if you try it you will agree that it is The Best Steak Marinade you will ever try. And it is soy free. I know some of you love soy. And I know there are others of you that have a sensitivity to soy. So, this recipe is perfect for you.
What makes this recipe even better is that you most likely already have the ingredients in your pantry. The Dijon mustard helps emulsify the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. If you don’t have Dijon use regular mustard. Remember, we are cooking here. We are not building rocket ships. It will taste great!
The longer you can let it marinate the better it will taste. However, you do not need to leave it longer than 24 hours. A bonus with this marinade is tenderizing the meat. If you are using a leaner cut of meat the vinegar will help tenderize the meat. Especially if you let it marinate longer.
If you know how to quick marinate using your vacuum sealer that is a great option as well. I have tried it with this recipe so I know it works well. You will have to search for a tutorial for that if you don’t know how to do it. (sorry I can’t help you more. I am not a pro yet at this technique).

The Best Steak Marinade
Ingredients
- ¼ c olive oil
- ½ balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients well.
- Pour over 2-3 lbs of steak or beef of your choice.
- Allow to marinate 4 hours to overnight.
- Grill or cook in a cast iron pan.
