Grandma's Banana Muffins with Chocolate Chips

Just like the banana bread your Grandmother used to make. Updated into a muffin with chocolate! How perfect!!!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix until combined.
  • Add mashed bananas and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, and soda.
  • Mix dry ingredients to butter mixture.
  • Mix in vanilla and fold in chocolate chips.
  • Fill muffin cups with batter and bake for 20-22 minutes.

Notes

This was my Grandmother Lena's original banana bread recipe. I modified it from using margarine to butter...because BUTTER! And I like baking muffins because they take less time to bake. I hope you enjoy! XO Lara
