Lemon Bread
The Fresh Lemon makes this bread dreamy! Tastes like the most perfect lemon pound cake ever!

- 3/4 c butter room temp
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 c buttermilk
- Zest of one lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 c powdered sugar
Prep 9x5x3 inch loaf pan with butter & flour. Preheat oven to 325
Cream together butter & sugar. Once well combined, add eggs one at a time.
Combine dry ingredients. Then add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk. Fold in lemon zest.
Place batter in prepared loaf pan and bake for 1 hr 15 minutes.
While bread is baking prepare glaze.
Mix lemon juice & powdered sugar. Whisk together until smooth. Cover until ready to use.
Once loaf is finished cooking, allow to cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan. Allow to cool for 30-40 minutes before glazing.
