Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Take a trip down memory lane with this classic dessert. Buttery, sweet pretzels are the perfect compliment to the cream filling and strawberry jello.

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 c pretzels crushed (I used GF)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 c butter melted
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese softened
  • 2 c whipped cream I made my own
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 6 oz package strawberry jello
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2-3 c fresh strawberries sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Spray 9x13 casserole dish with non-stick spray.
  • Mix pretzels, sugar, melted butter. Spread in bottom of prepared dish & bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove crust from oven and allow to cool.
  • Mix cream cheese with sugar, fold in whipped cream.
  • Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Mix jello & boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Add cold water and mix. Add sliced strawberries.
  • Cool jello mixture in refrigerator 30 minutes. Once cool, pour over cream cheese mixture.
  • Allow entire dessert to chill until jello is firm. Enjoy
