Ingredients
4-5poundpork lointrimmed of fat and silver skin
salt/pepper
2-3tbspavocado oil
17ozjar apple butter
3large apples HoneycrispGala, Granny Smith peeled, cored, sliced. Place in a bowl of water to prevent browning.
1large onionsliced place in a bowl for later
Instructions
Season pork loin with salt/pepper. Brown in skillet over medium high heat on both sides.
Transfer pork loin to slow cooker. Pour apple butter over pork loin. Set slow cooker to low for 6 hours.
After 5 hours of cooking, drain water off apple slices. Add apples and onions to the slow cooker. Cook for one more hour.
Remove pork loin to the serving platter. Use a slotted spoon to place apples and onions around pork to serve. As you slice and serve the pork, pour some of the juices from the slow cooker over the meat. Enjoy
